Greeting, Merry Christmas! How do you really have great joy? In general, you have it by being a selfless sinless person like Jesus. JOY=Jesus, others, and you. It means that you put Jesus and others first! Now let us look at the Scriptures about Great JOY.
Matthew 2:9-10 “When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. 11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” And Luke 2:10,11 “10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”Jesus is the star (the morning star) and when you receive His love and His salvation, you have great joy that no one is able to take it away from you.
You and others who involve in ministry of Jesus Christ have God’s Kingdom and miracles with you all would receive great joy: Acts 8:7 “For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. 8 And there was great joy in that city.” And Acts 15:3-4 “So, being sent on their way by the church, they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, describing the conversion of the Gentiles; and they caused great joy to all the brethren. 4 And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders; and they reported all things that God had done with them.”
My prayer for you and your family is that you do have great JOY from this day to eternity because you receive and believe our Lord Jesus Christ and His mighty work in your life! Do not work for things that will spoil but heavenly things that will last! You will see the harvest sooner or later! Let’s glorify our new born King (2013 years ago) or the King of all kings (Since Jesus has resurrected from death and today)! May God bless you in the coming year 2014!
Blessing in Christ Jesus,
Esther, your servant |
