Greeting Precious Saints and Concerned Americans:
A Vision: Yesterday early morning on June 18, While I was lying on my bed and was not fully awake, I had a vision (like taking video) of an amusement park like Disneyland with a lot of happy people, colorful scenes and a pond with clear water (like Magic Kingdom in Florida). Then, in the afternoon, I thought about my vision while I was typing an e-mail in Juno web page and amazingly in front of my eyes, I saw an advertisement for Disneyland. It was the same day! Is it a confirmation? I believe the spiritual meaning of this vision is that God will lead me and others to a happy flourishing land like heaven with blessing and joy. Disneyland is called the happiest place on earth. So, we will be joyful. Psalm 66:1 "Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands."
A calling for Homeless and Poor Ministries:
Psalm 146:5-8 "Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the Lord his God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever, who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners." Isaiah 61:1-3 "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor..."
Last Thursday, 6/13/13, I went to two parks in West Covina to do outreach and prayer for the people. I met a group of young people and then three homeless people. They were so receptive to the gospel and my prayers and were excited to hear me. Two of them are Angelina and Marvin who have just become homeless for a month and three days, respectively, and received the prayer of confession to Jesus. They are clean (without smell) and neat people with good manners. I love to help them so I gave some money for their food. They both need a full time job desperately. The guy knows how to do construction work and other things and his girlfriend has different experiences with bakery and sales work. I gave them the list of organizations which support the homeless. One homeless there received Jesus as the Lord and Savior. I am so excited to support the homeless and get them to the right position in the society! Now they are not homeless. Jesus is their Father who would provide for His children. In John 14:2,18, 23, Jesus says, "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you....I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you...If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him."
The girl, Angelina, told me that there is always a gathering at Carl's Jr. in West Covina from 8 to 8:30 am in the morning for the homeless. She said they also gather in Walmerado Park. God answered our prayer because we, the elected political candidate for Assembly member, Joe Gardner, Bishop Herman Hodges, Minister Aurupee Eng, and I have the heart for helping the homeless and have been praying and also trying to locate the homeless people in West Covina or near cities in the past few months. I also made a special prayer for them two weeks ago. God finally did answer our prayer in His time.
Then last Monday morning, I went to Carl's Jr. to meet the homeless. I requested the manager to allow us to stay for a half hour and she accepted it. The homeless listened to me and allowed me to teach the Bible; I shared Mark 8 about how Jesus fed 4000 people with 7 loads of bread due to his compassion for the hungry crowd after three days of His teaching. There were even 7 large baskets of leftover pieces after everyone was full. Later, the disciples forgot to bring those baskets to the boat and they had only one load. They reasoned among themselves of Jesus' statement, "Be careful the leaven of the Pharisees." The Pharisees did not believe Jesus and demanded a sign from Him so it considers leaven "a sin" of their wrong hearts and unbelief. Jesus knew the disciples' doubt and reminded them the two similar miracles He performed to feed 4000 and 5000 people and not to be like the Pharisees without faith.
That morning, God told me to bring the load of Chinese sweet bread I bought to feed the homeless; I normally don't buy this type of bread by a load and it happened that I bought one. At the beginning of the Bible study, I had raised it up and prayed and had given thanks to God before I distributed the bread to each of the homeless. This is a church service right at Carl's Jr. Later, we stayed outside Carl's Jr. and continued our meeting; I preached the good news to Shane and he also accepted Jesus as his Lord. We then worshiped together with songs and they loved it; later they received the Holy Spirit and started speaking new tongues and were filled with joy and laughter. It was so amazing. Before I left, Angelina had asked me if I know where to find women's clothing and her size, size 1.
I went back home and I opened the Bible deliberately and was shocked to discover related verses, in Zechariah 3:1-5, 6:9,11 prophetically: "Then he (the man, the angel) showed me (Prophet Zechariah) Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel. Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.” And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him....Then the word of the LORD came to me (Zechariah), saying...'Take the silver and gold, make an elaborate crown, and set it on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest.' "
I believe this is a prophecy and also a vision for Angelina who will be like Joshua, the high priest to serve the Lord after she was tempted by Satan (her poverty) and tested by God. She is the one who first asked me "Do you want to help the homeless?" at the moment I met her in the park. 2 Corinthians 6:10, 8:9, James 2:5 "...yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things....For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich...Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?" We, the true believing Christians, are rich spiritually in Christ and in eternity and are not necessary to be rich materially in this world; for Jesus' sake, we deny ourselves and become poor physically like Jesus when He was on earth.
Please pray and get involved with the community like our homeless and poor ministries with the promises of blessing from God; I encourage the politicians and the churches work together to be a part of the support. If any of you has any information for the needs of the homeless, please send them to me, thank you!
Need List:
1. Location for the emergency shelter with bathroom for shower. An organization in Claremont will provide me a list.
2 Prayer for Angelina, Marvin, Shane, April, Cassie, Robin, daughter of April, Gilbert, and another brother (I got permission to release their names). One poor man came to our last Saturday morning service by taking a bus for an hour. Where are those who have cars? It is truly a confirmation to what Jesus said in the parables of Luke 14 and Matthew 22, the king (God) called and chose those poor, homeless, and crippled people to his banquet (God's Kingdom) because the rich and or the busy business people did not have time to come.
3. Training and employment opportunities. Please provide any job information for Marvin and Angela who are good people.
4. Size 1 clothing for Angelina. I made a few phone calls and found a place to obtain vouchers for her clothing. If you have used clothing, please call me at (626)485-7287.
5. I will meet with the homeless for prayer and Bible studies at Carl's Jr. every Monday and Thursday at 8 - 8:30 am in the morning. The address is 400. S. Glendora Avenue, West Covina, CA 91790 near Edward Cinema and West Covina Parkway. Phone (626) 919-1725). Please join me.
Psalm 82:3 "Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy."
James 1:27 "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world."
Matthew 25:34-40 "‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’"
And James 2:15- 17 "If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.."
Thanks so much for being a team worker! May God bless you with overflowing joy and love!
